Job Description
Responsibilities:Administer and support DB2 databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Monitor critical production environments and perform regular health checks.Use ticketing tools to manage and track database-related support tickets.Be available for shift work to provide 24/7 support as needed.Manage HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery) configurations.Perform database upgrades, including Fix Pack implementations.Execute regular DB backups and plan/perform recovery operations.Troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently to maintain system uptime.Skills and Knowledge:Strong understanding of DB2 architecture and database administration for DB2 LUW.Database Monitoring: Expertise in monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance.Database Backup and Recovery: Proficiency in planning, executing, and troubleshooting backup/recovery operations.Database Troubleshooting: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve database issues.Optional Knowledge (Good to Have):TSA (Tivoli System Automation) for additional automation and high availability.
